What is a Lightchaser?

I thought of this term while I was in a photography class. We were talking about how as photographers, we have to find the light to make beautiful images. I started to see the way light affects the world around me, how light and shadow play across everything I see. I became a Lightchaser in my photography.

But I realized something—I don’t just want to be a Lightchaser when it comes to taking photos.

Jesus called Himself the Light of the World. I want to be a woman who passionately chases after Him, making a constant effort to know Him more. I want to be a Lightchaser that yearns for and seeks His face wholeheartedly. 

God’s Word is called a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. I want to scour the Bible for Truth. I want to inundate my mind with it. I don’t want to believe lies. I want to be a Lightchaser that seeks and believes truth.

So, to my fellow Lightchasers: May you chase after the Light of the World, and may you become lights yourselves to this dark world that desperately needs more light.
