Book Title: A Field Guide for Everyday Mission: 30 Days and 101 Ways to Demonstrate the Gospel
Author: Ben Connelly and Bob Roberts, Jr.
Genre: Nonfiction, Missions, Christianity, Gospel, Witnessing
My Rating: ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

A Field Guide for Everyday Mission is a motivating and convicting reminder of the importance of not only sharing but demonstrating the Gospel. Are you a believer in Christ? Then you are a missionary, no matter what your job description may say. This book encourages us to step outside our comfort zone and gives practical ways to share the Gospel with those God has placed in our mission field right where we live, work, and play.

This field guide answers six questions:
1. Who is my everyday mission field?
2. What does an everyday missionary do?
3. When does everyday mission happen?
4. Where does everyday mission happen?
5. Why should I even care about everyday mission?
6. How do I share the Gospel without killing the relationship?

One thing I really appreciated about this book is that it was not just theoretical missions ideology, as so many missions books are. As its title implies, this is a field guide designed to give 101 practical ways you can be an everyday missionary. For example, Way #91 says, "Introduce yourself: Linger outside instead of immediately shutting your garage door; cross the street. Be intentional with conversation at work or school; don't be silent."

As believers, we often get so comfortable in our Christian bubble that we forget that people around us are living hopeless lives that will end in eternal separation from God. Ben and Bob encourage us to tale measures to involve ourselves in the lives of unbelievers so that we can have an impact on their lives as they see the way we live.

I would recommend this book to every Christian! Whether you are the director of a mission board, a janitor, or a mailman, this book is for you. It will encourage you and equip you to seek out those who are around you and be intentional about demonstrating the Gospel to them. I highly recommend this book to anyone wondering how they can share the Gospel better!
